Gurugram: towers E in Chintels paradise has new cracks in the balconies. After the complaints, two residents died earlier this year; it's ringing the tocsin again. The DTCP did a survey.
After visiting and surveying, the district town planner said the balconies of the flats need attention immediately in the two towers. The Deputy Commissioner of Gurugram is likely to visit society this week. Following which the actions of future on this will be decided. It was caved in at tower D on February 10th, which was vacated.
Amit magnolia, the district town planner, said after receiving the alert from the society, we immediately inspected many floors in towers E and F on Monday evening.
When we had an inspection, we noticed in tower E that the balconies on the fourth floor were drooped. We also found that in both buildings, many balconies tumble down.
The town planner said that after the DTCP issued directions, the developer undertook measures to strengthen the balconies.
During the visit, we also searched for a list of occupants in both towers. I also had a detailed discussion with society residents on this matter to understand their views on the situation.
On Tuesday, Nishant Yadav (deputy commissioner) was apprized of the matter.
The DC of Gurugram said to TOI that he will visit the site of the towers along with the additional deputy commissioner and will examine the situation and extent of damage to balconies in both buildings.
He said on behalf of the visit for the correction; the authorities will decide the corrective actions to be taken in those towers.
According to sources, both towers could be vacated for the safety purpose of residents, and on behalf of the audit report, the decision on repair work will be taken.
A spokesperson of Chintels said our top priority is the safety of our residents; after the tower is vacated and the government gives permission, the repair and restoration work can start. And will be clearer on the result of the structural audit.
The contractor of the buildings couldn't be contacted, tried many times.
